Whilst the main marquee may not be here this year, we’ve still put together some exciting and unique events for you to enjoy. 

All located in our Chef’s Zone in Market Place Shopping Centre, be quick to book to avoid disappointment as spaces are limited.

Saturday 28th
Beer & Cheese Tasting

A pairing of Craft Beer with Chorlton Cheesemongers cheeses!

An exciting addition to our event this year is our Beer and Cheese pairing sessions with local brewery Wayoh Brewing Company in collaboration with Chorlton Cheesemongers.

Sit back and relax as the experts talk you through five 1/3rds of freshly brewed craft beer, all beautifully paired with five very distinct and different cheeses.

You’ll learn how beer and cheese is made, stories behind each taste and why they’ve been paired together.

Sunday 29th August:
An audience with
Jean-Christophe Novelli

We are delighted that celebrity chef Jean-Christophe Novelli is making a welcome return to the Festival this year.  Not only can visitors see Jean-Christophe cook up a storm in our FREE regional chef demos you’re invited to join him for an extra special ‘audience with’ event. 

Here’s your chance to get up close and personal with one of the country’s most acclaimed chefs and ask him questions about his career – or even for his top tips on cooking the perfect Tarte Tatin! 

You’ll also be fed and watered throughout the event, with three fabulous courses from the Mayor of Bolton’s recently published poetry book which includes recipes designed by some of the region’s best chefs, along with drinks courtesy of headline sponsor Aldi.

Menu includes three courses (including meat and fish): Starter, Main and Dessert – please advise dietary requirements at time of booking (vegetarian and vegan substitute courses will be available).

Monday 30th August:
Microgreens Masterclass

This is the event for all you foodies out there. Join Paul De Costa Greaves from Koppert Cress, the leading provider of micro-greens to chefs from across the globe for this entertaining and informative session.

Well renowned for its sustainable practices and the nutritional value of the food produced, Koppert Cress is leading the way when it comes to adding flavour and style to some of the most creative dishes and cocktails.



If you don’t know your Broccoli Cress from your Majii Leaf and want to learn how to turn good food into great food with simple additions and understand how micro-greens are shaping the culinary future then this one is for you!

All Weekend:
Foraging! In Queens Park

Take a break from the fast-paced world we live in and connect with nature in this unique, informative special event.

Forager, Colin Unsworth (New Forest Horizon’s) will take you on a walk of discovery around our town centre park – Queens Park – to uncover what nature’s larder has to offer. 

There’s always something to be foraged from plants to berries and nuts to mushrooms, and expert forager Colin has a wealth of information about them all.  Join him for this leisurely walk and, who knows, with a bit of luck you may have a full basket at the end for a feast!

Includes 1½ hour walk around the park plus drink and snack at the Pavilion Café. 



Pre-booking is essential as there are limited spaces each day.
