What Celebrity Chef cookery demonstrations are on at the Food and Drink Festival Marquee, Victoria Square?
As well as the fantastic shows already planned with our celebrity chef’s this year we’ve added a couple of new events too!
This year the festival will have specail events like a Comedy Night, a Gin and Rum festival as well as the brand new Masterclasses in our Chef’s Kitchen.
Special events detailed information will be posted on the website nearer to the festival date.
Yes, there are! There are free cookery demonstrations taking place at Bolton Market on Ashburner Street on Friday and Saturday.
Each year we aim to bring a great line up of some of the region’s finest established and up and coming chefs, and 2019 promises to be no different. The full running order will be available online once all our chefs are confirmed.

Please note children over the age of 2 years will need their own ticket, there is a discounted price at each event (excluding over 18s only events). We are also able to offer concessions for carers, please ask at time of booking.
We would ask that you let us know at the time of booking if you have any specific dietary requirements. We are able to offer vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free options for James Martin Cream Tea event.
Please be aware we cannot guarantee that our suppliers have been able to prepare the food in a nut free environment.
The main marquee is laid out with round tables, each of which will have eight (8) numbered seats You will be able to book seats at specific round tables, so that you know before arrival where you will be sitting and we can help direct you to your table easily when you arrive.
Please advise us at time of booking if you have any mobility issues so that we can help you select the best seat for your requirements.
The price levels for tickets vary depending up on the type of demonstration and location, e.g. there is a higher price for events that include either food and / or drink samples or full meal.
Are there any provisions for visitors with disabilities or special requirements in the Main Festival Marquee?
The celebrity chef marquee is wheelchair friendly and accessed via ramps. There is confirmed space for up to ten wheelchair users per cookery demonstration but please talk to a member of the team (at the time of booking) so that we can ensure you and your party are seated together. If a member of your party has mobility issues please do advise staff at the time of booking in order that provision can be made where possible.
No special facilities are available for customers who are hard of hearing or visually impaired.

Are group tickets available for the celebrity chef demonstrations and can I reserve coach parking in Bolton town centre?
Group tickets can reserved for each of the demonstrations on a first come, first served basis via the online booking system.

This year’s Gala dinner will take place on Friday 23th August, within the main Festival Marquee on Victoria Square. It is set to be a fantastic evening, with a specially created, 5 course meal (the full menu will be confirmed in June). The evening starts at 7pm and will finish at midnight.
Please note dress code: Lounge Suits and Cocktail dresses.

During the festival weekend, the Box office will be open on all four days as well as a specially staffed Festival Information Point. This information point will be located on Victoria Square (please see site map for exact locations).
Suitable for children from 2 years upwards, and will involve participation (so younger children will need to be assisted by an adult).
Please remember: All children will need to have a responsible adult present.
Yes – the Albert Halls has wheelchair access. As always please do let us know at the time of booking of any issues and let a member of the onsite staff know too so that we can ensure a great experience for everyone in your party.
This year there is a full programme of music and entertainment planned.
Full event listings and timings will be available online (the most up to date listings will always be online, any changes to the line- up will be messaged via our social media channels – Facebook / Twitter / Instagram).
Over the weekend keep your eyes peeled for some fantastic street entertainment too, with comedy acts and mime artists there’s sure to be someone or something (!) to catch the eye.
