Michael Caines

Michael is one of Britain’s most acclaimed chefs. At Gidleigh Park, where he was at the helm for 21 years, he earned and held two Michelin stars.

Michael has more recently opened his own contemporary country house hotel, Lympstone Manor, overlooking the Exe Estuary, which he fondly describes as the ‘realisation of my dreams’

Michael will be launching this years festival on Friday August 26th

 

The Hairy Bikers

Get together with Hairy Biker Si King, and guest presenter Jenny Powell, for a bit of a natter over some great food in our festival kitchen at one of just three delicious cookery demos.  

Please note only the 11am and 1pm demos include a book signing.

Appearing on Saturday August 27th in our new home, the majestic Albert Halls.

Ainsley Harriott

After almost three decades as one of the country’s favourite TV chefs, Ainsley Harriott has become something of a national institution. In 2020 he was delighted to be awarded an MBE for his services to broadcasting and the culinary arts. Best known for his twenty-one series’ of Ready, Steady, Cook, and with many solo primetime cooking series under his belt, he has become the master of fresh, fun, accessible cuisine.

Ainsley will be appearing on
Sunday August 28th in our new home, the majestic Albert Halls.

 

 

James Martin

After catering college James worked in London under the guidance of chefs including Antony Worrall Thompson and Marco Pierre White. He also travelled around France working in chateaux kitchens and gaining experience in Michelin star establishments. 

In 2013 James Martin Manchester opened, housed within the Manchester235 casino at the Great Northern Warehouse. Providing modern British cuisine in industrial chic surroundings it was listed in The Sunday Times Top 100 UK Restaurants for 2015/16.

In 2021 James joined forces with Albert Bartlett to launch SpudULike by James Martin, taking the humble potato to the next level.

James will be appearing on
