James Martin Cookery Demonstrations

James' cooking demo's are always a big hit at the festival - book your tickets early so as not to miss out on this special event - includes a Special James’ Cocktail and Souvenir glass with a premium ticket.

The event is in the Main Festival Marquee on Victoria Square and the Marquee bar will be open during the demo.

Regional Chef cook-off showdown

This is a brand new special event for this year’s festival and we are very excited! We are teaming two of our favourite regional chefs Aiden Byrne and Andrew Nutter up together for this one off event. The two chefs will go head to head in a cook-off showdown to see who can create the best recipe with a box of ingredients from our Headline sponsor Aldi. The challenge is on and we can’t wait to see who will be victorious!

Alice’s Wonderland - Mad Hatter’s Tea Party

Every day at the festival children can join Alice on her adventures as she falls into a world of peculiar creatures at the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party!

Children will love the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party where magical creatures will be brought to life. During the tea party there will be chance to  experience a lively interactive Alice in Wonderland musical by the Octagon Theatre, make a fun mask to take home and even play croquet with the Red Queen, share a snack with Alice and sip a cup of tea with the March Hare at the specially prepared picnic – just don’t wake up the Dormouse!

The picnic will contain goodies from Slattery, Carrs Pasties and Aldi. If you have special dietary requirements no problem, just let us know when you book your tickets!

Free Regional Chef Demonstrations

Missed out on a ticket to see the celebs? Don’t forget there are also Free cookery demonstrations each day from local and regional chefs, all of whom are celebrities in their own right.

Drop by the Lifestyle Hall at Bolton Market on Ashburner Street (25th and 26th only) or the Regional Chef Marquee on Corporation Street. Expect some familiar faces and new additions too, a full timetable of chefs will be available prior to the festival.

Didn't manage to grab a ticket?

There’s still something for everyone...

Did we also mention our jam-packed music and entertainment, and plenty of bars including a brand new festival bar on Le Mans Crescent and lots of seating areas?

So, what are you waiting for, hop aboard and enjoy the best Bolton has to offer!

Special dietary requirements can be catered for at most of our events - please request this at time of booking.
