Gala Dinner - Tickets Only

Our Gala Dinner is fast becoming the place to be on the Friday night of August Bank Holiday weekend!

For an extra special treat, why not put on your finery and join us for an evening of fine dining set in the main Celebrity Chef marquee on Victoria Square.

This year’s Gala Dinner promises to deliver an extra special treat, with five sumptuous courses specially created by some of the leading chefs around.

Join us for pre-dinner drinks from 7pm and then sit back and relax and enjoy a taste sensation.

Chefs include Michael Caines, Andrew Nutter, Aiden Byrne, Adam Reid, Mike Harrison and others…

Alice’s Wonderland - Mad Hatter’s Tea Party

Every day at the festival children can join Alice on her adventures as she falls into a world of peculiar creatures at the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party!

Children will love the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party where magical creatures will be brought to life. During the tea party there will be chance to  experience a lively interactive Alice in Wonderland musical, by the Octagon Theatre, make a fun mask to take home and even play croquet with the Red Queen, share a snack with Alice and sip a cup of tea with the March Hare at the specially prepared picnic – just don’t wake up the Dormouse!

The picnic will contain goodies from Slattery, Carrs Pasties and Aldi. If you have special dietary requirements no problem, just let us know when you book your tickets!

Free Regional Chef Demonstrations

Missed out on a ticket to see the celebs? Don’t forget there are also Free cookery demonstrations each day from local and regional chefs, all of whom are celebrities in their own right.

Drop by the Lifestyle Hall at Bolton Market on Ashburner Street (25th & 26th only) or the Regional Chef Marquee on Corporation Street. Expect some familiar faces and new additions too, a full timetable of chefs will be available prior to the festival.

Can't make Friday? There's more...

There’s something for everyone with lots more special events on the menu this year too… with Saturday Brunch, Pastie and Beer tasting and Made In Bolton by Aiden Byrne.

You can also grab a ticket to one of the hottest shows around and watch James Martin cook up a storm on Bank Holiday Morning – and, we’re bringing our ‘A’ game to the Regional Chef’s Marquee on the Monday too, when two of our finest chefs will go head to head in a cookery showdown bringing our festival to a close.

Did we also mention our jam-packed music and entertainment, and plenty of bars including a brand new festival bar on Le Mans Crescent and lots of seating areas?

So, what are you waiting for, hop aboard and enjoy the best Bolton has to offer!
